I was able to brush out her coat so that her cowlicks didn't stick up quite as much as they usually did, and she let me do a little trimming around her ears (seeing as how I had treats). Friday morning, we ended up being the only entry in her breed class, so she got a few ribbons by default. The judge was a very friendly guy who chatted with people about their dogs, so I asked him if Aoife seemed like a show-quality dog. He said that she was a little fat antting there looking at me innocently. I felt inside the opening, and noticed that it was a little damp. Almost as if a dog had just had her nose in the bag of dog food. I relocated the bag to a shelf, and Aoife looked visibly disappointed.
